Master of Science (M.Sc.)
Applied Physics

Philosophy and Objectives of the Program

The Master of Science Program in Applied Physics aims to produce graduates who are capable of conducting in-depth research, are able to integrate knowledge, have skills and thinking processes, analyze and synthesize in the fields of applied physics, especially in the groups of polymer physics and nuclear physics, have morality and ethics, are leaders, and are academically relied on by the organization in which they work, and are able to transfer and connect knowledge and understanding to others very well.

   Highlights of the program

  • The program focuses on polymer physics and applied nuclear physics, which is in line with the country’s needs, especially in developing human resources with knowledge in applied physics.
  • There are capable personnel and modern tools, ready to conduct research in various fields of polymer physics, such as polymer rheology, molding processes, polymer testing, polymer material applications, membrane physics, and polymer composite physics.
  • There are capable nuclear physicists and modern tools ready to conduct research that will be beneficial to the development and improvement of people’s lives, such as analysis to assess the risk of exposure to natural radiation, application of radiation techniques to study sedimentation rates in rivers and coastal erosion, study the tendency of natural disasters, and determine the age of ancient objects, use of nuclear technology to enhance post-harvest technology for economic crops and fruits in the South, such as longkong and palm.
  • Evaluating the risk of exposure to natural radiation, applying radiological techniques to study sedimentation rates in rivers and coastal erosion, studying the potential for natural disasters, and determining the age of ancient objects more accurately, using radiological techniques for non-destructive inspection, creating high-quality but low-cost radiation shielding materials
  • Using nuclear technology to enhance post-harvest technology for economic crops and fruits in the South, such as longkong and palm
  • Developing work in polymer physics, polymer rheology, forming processes, polymer testing, polymer material applications, membrane physics, and polymer composite physics

Lecturers in applied physics at universities, professional researchers, or academics in polymer physics and nuclear physics at higher education institutions and research institutes in both the public and private sectors.
