New crab species discovered by SAT researcher

PATTANI: October 17, 2022: Faculty of Science and Technology (SAT) would like to express our “Congratulations” to Mr. Pun Yeesin, a Scientist from Department of Agricultural and Fishries Sciences, SAT, Dr. Rueangrit Promdam, and teams discovered new crab species called “Phricotelphusa sukreei“, which was found in a tree-hole of high mountains in Srinagarindra District, Phatthalung Province, Peninsular Thailand. This species was named after Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sukree Hajisamae, a former dean of Faculty of Science and Technology, Prince of Songkla University (PSU), Pattani Campus.
